Charles Viola

STOW - Charles F. Viola, 72, passed away December 5, 2014.
Charles was born in Akron, and graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1961. He served in the US Army Reserves and retired from the Cuyahoga Falls Board of Education.
Preceded in death by his parents Aldo and Lexie Viola and half-brother Edward Berry. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jacqueline; children, Joe (Denise) Viola of Akron, Chris Viola (Elizabeth) of Wilmington, DE and Wendy Viola (Tom) of Stow; sisters, Sarah (William) Mohn of Barberton and Thelma Viola of Cuyahoga Falls; mother-in-law Maple Markulis of Cuyahoga Falls; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Donald and Kathy Markulis of Stow; grandchildren, Nathan, Zachary, Julia, Madeline and Isabella; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Charlie loved performing magic (Mr. Magic) and clowning (Chuckles the Clown), along with cooking and camping with his family. Friend to all, he could make anyone laugh and loved his family, especially his grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the Stow Fire Department, Western Reserve Hospital 2 West staff and Charlie's home health nurse Stephanie for all of their care and support over the last several years.
A memorial service will take place on December 15, 2014 at the Pilgrim United Church of Christ, 130 Broad Blvd., Cuyahoga Falls, OH. Visitation will be at 1:00pm with the service following at 2:00pm; Rev. Kirk Bruce officiating. In lieu of flowers or other remembrances, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association (www.lung.org ). Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home and Crematory, 330-928-2147.
