Elizabeth Andonian

CUYAHOGA FALLS- Elizabeth "Betty" Andonian was a wonderful mother and truly loving human being. She died at 91, still sharp as a tack and taking care of herself and others. We, her children (Michael T. Hayes and Patty Andonian and Evan Ormsby), are so grateful she was our mother. She taught us tolerance and truth and forgiveness and hard work. She loved us beyond measure under every circumstance.

She was especially devoted to her Herman family roots and leaves a beloved brother, Paul (Mary Ellen) Miller of North Canton (93 and also sharp as a tack). She was also a proud graduate of Central High, Class of '43, a retiree from Alside after decades of service in HR, a second mom to many and a friend to everyone.

God blessed her with empathy and humor and she passed those blessings to others all her life. We were all very appreciative of the excellent and compassionate care she received, especially from Dr. Leroy Lefever, Dr. Michael Bage and the doctors, nurses and staff at Western Reserve Hospital in Cuyahoga Falls.

Services will be held at her church of 60+ years, Emmanuel United Church of Christ, 1480 Eastwood Avenue in Akron at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 4th .In lieu of flowers, gifts to Emmanuel are always appreciated. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home and Crematory, 330-928-2147.
