CUYAHOGA FALLS - Evelyn Louise Gale (Myers) passed away on November 22, 2017 at the age of 92. She was born on May 14, 1925 to Nellie and Louis Myers.

Besides her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, John, her daughter Nancy, her brothers Bud and Robert and sisters Edna and Petsy. She is survived by her sister, Nonnie and children Pat (Don) Richwine, Peggy Gale and Tom (Belle) Gale. She also leaves her granddaughters Kathleen, Christine, Lynn and Marissa and great-grandchildren Mika, Kai, Shelby, John, Lucy and Charlie along with many nieces, nephews and their families. Evelyn was a secretary at Price Elementary School and worked many years for several superintendents of the Cuyahoga Falls Park and Recreation Department. She was a member of Eastern Stars for over 70 years and a member of the First United Methodist Church for more than 50 years. Many of her proudest accomplishments were with the Order of Rainbow for Girls. She was Worthy Advisor of the Akron Assembly, Grand Worthy Advisor for the state of Ohio and was a role model and mentor for hundreds of girls as the Mother Advisor "Mom Gale" of the Cuyahoga Falls Assembly. She loved her husband, John and he adored her. She liked spending time at the lake house they built. She also enjoyed traveling, slot machines and bingo.

A special thanks to the caring staff at Sunrise Assisted Living and Kindred Hospice. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of other remembrances, please make donations to the First United Methodist Church, 245 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home and Crematory, 330-928-2147.
