"Then and Now"

CUYAHOGA FALLS - George L. Pugh, 69, passed away July 28, 2014. He was born in Akron and resided in Cuyahoga Falls for over 20 years. George graduated from North High School and served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam. He worked for Nichols Bakery as a union wholesale bread truck driver under Teamsters #52 for over 30 years. George was a life-time member of the VFW Post 1062 and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles #2207, where he served as past president and he was also a member of the American Legion Post 496. He loved playing golf, pool and was an avid card player who thoroughly enjoyed his retirement.

Preceded in death by his wife, Nancy; he is survived by his daughter, Shannon (Ken) Ott; grandson Tyler Johnson; and special person, Betty Sterner.

Friends may call from 4-7 PM on Wednesday July 30, 2014, in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH, 44221, where a memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday July 31. A celebration of life will be held at the VFW Post 1062 immediately following the service. Rev. Bill Sterner will be officiating. Inurnment Crown Hill Memorial Park at a later date. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to VFW Ralph Huff Post 1062, 1581 Main St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH, 44221. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 338-928-2147.
