Gilda Saralino

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Gilda Saralino, 87, passed away December 10, 2014. She was born in Dinami, Italy and came to America at the age of 13 in 1940. Gilda attended Akron Central High School and graduated Valedictorian. She was an intelligent woman who enjoyed the arts, reading and cooking. Gilda dedicated herself to raising a beautiful, loving family and took pride in her domestic skills and home management.

She is survived by her husband, Joe, whom she married, greatly admiring his wonderful sense of humor; children, Denny (Mary Ann Kochalko), Linda (Steve) Parks, Diane (David) Jamieson and Mark (Leslie) all of Cuyahoga Falls; grandchildren, Carli and Leanna Parks, Jennifer, Jessica and Denny Saralino; honorary nephew, Bruce Monchack.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Saturday December 13, 2014 at St. Eugene's Catholic Church 1821 Munroe Falls Ave. Cuyahoga Falls, OH, 44221. Fr. Neil Crosby will be officiating. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to St. Eugene's in her honor. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 330-928-2147.
