Harry Kincaid

TALLMADGE- Harry E. Kincaid passed away on January 5, 2014. He was 84 years old. Harry was born in Tidioute, Pennsylvania and resided in Ohio (Tallmadge then Silver Lake) since 1969.

Preceded in death by his wife of 33 years, Jean Kincaid, Harry is survived by their daughter Cathy Ann Kincaid of Akron, and siblings Beverly Franklin of Houston, Texas, Judith Jardin of Titusville, Pennsylvania, and Thomas Kincaid of Houston, Texas. He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Kincaid of Riverside, California. In addition, several nephews and nieces survive.

A son of Harry E. and Anna D. Kincaid, Harry grew up in Tionesta, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Tionesta High School then studied education at Clarion State College. Following graduation he entered the United States Army. Following his Army service he joined the American Red Cross working in Japan and Korea. Harry went on to earn a Master's degree from Penn State in Educational Administration while teaching at West Forest High School where he established the Spanish curriculum. He also completed educational programs at San Francisco State, Georgetown University and The University of Akron. Harry worked for several years in Saudi Arabia for the Arabian American Oil Company. Upon moving to Ohio, he was the Principal of Sagamore Hills Children's Psychiatric Hospital.
Harry was an avid reader and tennis player.

Friends may call one hour prior to the 2pm funeral service on Friday, January 10. The service will be held in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front Street, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. Interment will be at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park. Reverend Dr. John Schluep will officiate.
In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to the American Red Cross (501 W. Market Street, Akron, OH, 44303), Tionesta Methodist Church (208 Elm Street, Tionesta, PA 16353) or a charity of your choice. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 330-928-2147.
