Irene S. Hampshire, 91, died May 31, 2017. She was born in North Baltimore, Ohio and lived in Cuyahoga Falls most of her life, before moving to Canal Fulton. She was a student at Otterbein College. She was an active member of Pilgrim and Trinity United Church of Christ. She was a volunteer at Chapel Hill Home for many years. She was a devoted wife and mother.
Irene was preceded in death by her husband William and is survived by her sons, James
(Cindy) Hampshire and Jon (Leslie) Hampshire; grandchildren Jarrod (Megan) Hampshire, Emily (Jonathon) Holody, Jon (Lindsay) Hampshire; 7 great-grandchildren; and sister Joan Mason. The family wishes to thank the caregivers at Chapel Hill Home.
Memorial services will be held 2 PM, Sunday, June 11, 2017 at Chapel Hill Home, 12200 Strausser St. NW, Canal Fulton, Ohio 44614. Memorials may be made to your favorite charity. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home and Crematory, 330-928-2147.
