Joanne Forbes

CUYAHOGA FALLS- Joanne W. Forbes, 83, passed away October 21, 2013. Mrs. Forbes was born in Akron and had resided in Cuyahoga Falls her entire life, graduating from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1948. She received her degree in Education from Kent State University and taught in the Akron Public Schools for 34 years. She was a past member of the Cuyahoga Falls Garden Club and the Falls Chapter 245 O.E.S. and was an Avon Representative for over 25 years.

Preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Lillian Wesley, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Darryl Elzie of Smithfield, VA; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Charlene Forbes of Cuyahoga Falls; grandchildren, Derrick (Jessica) Hall, Patrick (Yukie) Hall and Carl Hall and brother and sister-in-law, Walter and Mary Wesley of Chicago.

Cremation has taken place. There will be no calling hours or services. Final resting place Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to Falls Firefighters and Community Society, P.O. Box 1022, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223.
