Julianne Balint

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Julianne H. "Judy" Balint, 82, passed away May 10, 2017. She was born in Parkersburg, WV, and resided in Cuyahoga Falls the past 54 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents Howard and Grace; brother Jerry and sister-in-law Marilyn. She is survived by her husband of 61 years Ray; children Mark, Joyce, Jim (Gina), Andy (Cathy) and Julie (Matt) Troxell; 10 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and sister Lynne Scott.

Judy was an active member of St. Joseph's Parish serving in several capacities, including the Home and School Assn. and most recently in the Alter and Rosary Society with a group of amazing ladies. She was a member of the Christ Child Society, volunteered at Summa Western Reserve Hospital and ushered at E.J. Thomas and the Civic Theater.

Her greatest joys in life were her children and grandchildren and she loved them all very dearly. Judy loved to dance, especially to the song "Old Time Rock'n Roll". She was very proud of her West Virginia heritage.

Heartfelt thanks to all for thoughts and prayers and to the staff at Akron General Medical Center and Hospice Center for their compassionate care.

Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, May 13 in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44221. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Joseph Church, 1761 2nd St., Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44221 at 10 a.m. Monday, May 15 with Father David McCarthy officiating. Interment Oakwood Cemetery.

In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to St. Joseph Altar and Rosary Society, 215 Falls Ave., Cuyahoga Falls 44221. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home and Crematory, 330-928-2147.
