Linda Stimmel

STOW- Linda Marie Stimmel, 66, passed away on February 15, 2018.

Born in Akron on November 5, 1951 and lived in Northampton, Cuyahoga Falls and Stow her entire life.

She was a graduate of Woodridge High School Class of 1969 and Akron City Hospital School of Nursing as a registered nurse in 1972. She worked at Akron City Hospital, Visicare and Senior Select during her career.

Linda was preceded in death by father, George Sr. and mother, Lena. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Steve; son, Dan (Kat) Stimmel; daughter, Meghan (John) Howell; brother, George (Chris) Chase; sister, Diane (Martin) Pitts; sister-in-law, Lisa (Curt) Jones; brothers-in-law, Ron (Pat) Stimmel, Rick (Linda) Stimmel, Tim Grathwol; nieces and nephews, Matt (Kerri) Chase, Rebecca (Scott) Kuznarsky, Bill Pitts, Renee Pitts, Katie Collier; and cherished grandchildren Simon and Grace Howell. As well as her lifelong friends Lynn (Bill) Gaddis and Sherri (Phil) McLean.

Linda loved gardening, crafts, family and friends; especially her husband, kids and grandkids. She was a member of Pilgrim United Church of Christ most of her life and served on many boards and committees.

Appreciation goes out to Hospice of the Western Reserve (Kristin, Emily and Michelle), and to our special caregiver Dawn Anderson for their wonderful care.

Memorial calling will be held from 4-6 PM with a memorial service immediately following on Wednesday February 21, 2018 at the Pilgrim United Church of Christ, 130 Broad Blvd. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pilgrim United Church of Christ or Hospice of the Western Reserve in her name.
