Phyllis Beacon

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Phyllis Beacon, 97, passed away July 5, 2017. She was born in McVeytown, PA and resided in Cuyahoga Falls for the past 59 years. Phyllis graduated from Lewistown Nursing School and served as an Army Nurse during WWII. She went on to work at Green Cross Hospital, retiring after 45 years.

Preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Albert; and daughter, Patricia Gdula; and her 8 siblings; she is survived by her daughters, Susan (Paul) Albright and Nancy Beacon; grandchildren, Christopher and Meredith Albright, Daniel and Devin Gdula, and Jonathan and Peter Farsai and great-granddaughter, Layla Farsai.

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday July 8, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church, 245 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. Rev. Paul Beal will be officiating.
