Richard Shears

Richard K. Shears born March 6, 1947 passed away on January 29, 2018 after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
Preceding him in death are his parents Nellie Woodzell Shears and Richard H. Shears and son, James F. Huddleston. Left to mourn his passing are his wife Belinda Kelly, sister Linda Shears, nephew John Shears (Tina), niece Jamie Mellinger (Mike) and many other nieces and nephews.

Richard served in the U.S. Army, loved science fiction and tinkering with electronics, earning his associates degree at McKim Technical Institute after a career as a restaurant manager. He was an avid dog lover who spent many happy hours with his various canine companions over the years. Richard had a heart of gold and would always lend a helping hand to his family and friends. He will be sorely missed by those lucky enough to have known him and benefited from his kindness and generosity.
