Robert Blocksom

Canton, GA- Robert B. Blocksom, 82, passed away December 10, 2013. Mr. Blocksom was born in Cuyahoga Falls, had resided in Georgia the past 38 years and previously in Columbus and Cincinnati. He had been owner of American Professional Credit and served with the U. S. Air Force as a Tower Operator from 1950 to 1954.

He is survived by his wife, Janet to whom he was married 56 years on June 11; children, Debbie Sullivan (Tommy) of Canton, GA, Timothy Blocksom (Nadine) of Grovetown, GA, Kevin Blocksom (Angie) of Canton, GA and Karen Blocksom (Mike Pennington) of Salem, OR; grandchildren, Daniel, Matthew and Samantha Sullivan, Jennifer McAvoy and James Blocksom and Steven and Sophia Blocksom; great-grandchildren, Bryanna and Tryston McAvoy; brothers, Bill Blocksom (Marge) and Dick Blocksom and many nieces and nephews.

There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 1:00 pm Friday, Dec. 13 in The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc. 1815 West Market St. Suite 108, Akron, OH 44313.
