CUYAHOGA FALLS - Born September 2, 1922, to parents Homer and Donna Heck in Blaze Run, WV, Ruth passed away peacefully August 13, 2013, surrounded by her loving family.
Ruth moved to Akron during WWII for work, and met her husband H. B. A devoted wife; they moved to Cuyahoga Falls in 1957, and there, together they shared over fifty wonderful years before his passing in 1997. They visited 48 States in their travels, and had many fond memories. She loved country drives with dear friend Dorothy Lamer, and watching the Cleveland Indians. Peach ice cream was her favorite. As a homemaker, she cooked up many wonderful meals and the delicious cakes for birthdays. She made our family holidays extra special. She looked forward to seeing Glory, her hairdresser of many years. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Ruth was patient; and a very good listener. She'll be missed by all who knew her.
She was a faithful member of the 7th Day Adventist Church; which she missed dearly when unable to attend. She held fond memories of her longtime neighbors - the Honeywells, the Obrst, the Chins and the DiGerloma's for over fifty years.
Preceded in death by her husband H. B., her daughter Cheryl Ann, and son-in-law David Sherk; Ruth is survived by her sister and husband, Josie and Marvin Robinson, son and wife Gary and Cheryl Stewart, son Gregory and wife Colleen Isaacs, sons Steve and Mark Isaacs, son-in-law Dwight Beatty, Cheryl Jane Isaacs, grandchildren Gary and Anne Stewart, Ann and Dan McBee, Natalee and Anthony Ratay, Alyssa and Chas Bridenthal, Ryan and Abby Roy, Kayla Roy, and great grandchildren Luca and Olivia Ratay, Hudson Roy and Jameson Stewart.
The Isaacs' family would like to thank Hospice of Summa for all their support, Dr. Crenshaw and Megan at Western Reserve in the Falls. All of the helpful staff at Falls Village. And especially thank her wonderful nurse, Dana Cianciola, of Anna's Home Healthcare for her loving care and compassion.
A Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 am Friday, Aug 16 in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St, Cuyahoga Falls, Pastor Jerry Chase officiating. Friends may call 1 hour prior to service. Interment Chestnut Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to Hospice of Summa, 444 N Main St, PO Box 2090, Akron OH 44398-6153. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 330-928-2147.
