Sara Amato

CUYAHOGA FALLS- Sara Amato passed away May 10, 2017.

She was born in Akron and resided in Cuyahoga Falls for the past 64 years. Sara graduated from Buchtel High School going on to graduate from Hammel Business College. She worked as an Executive Secretary for Goodyear Aerospace retiring after 35 years of service. Sara was an avid bowler and at the age of 95 could still bowl a 420 series.

Preceded in death by her husband, Anthony; and brother, Mike Magno; she was a loving mother and is survived by her children, John (Elizabeth) La Cause, Laurance La Cause and Jodie (Wayne) Gerber; grandchildren, Sebastian, Sara and Michael; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 4-7 PM on Monday May 15, 2017 in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday May 16 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church 1905 Portage Trail Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223. Fr. Thomas McCann will be officiating. Interment Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Dementia Society of America P.O. Box 600 Doylestown, PA 18901. www.dementiasociety.org .
