Szaja Potok

AKRON - Szaja Potok, 69, passed away February 7, 2017. He was born in Germany and resided in Akron. Szaja was a Vietnam Veteran serving his country in the U.S.M.C., going on to retire from Summit County after 30 years of service. He was an active member of the V.F.W., enjoyed shooting and most of all spending time with his family.

Preceded in death by his parents, Izak and Janka Potok; and sister, Frania Castner; he is survived by his children, Donna Boggs, John (Heather), Frederick, Dianne, Joe (Lindsay) and Barbie (Frank) Potok-Simon; grandchildren, Joshua, Zachary, Alyssa, Jacob, Zevan, Jayden, Khloe and Joseph; siblings, Peter (Joanne), Mania Aikman, Lola (Dave) Vansickel and Jeannetta Potok.

Memorial calling will be held 2 hours prior to a 7 PM memorial service on Tuesday February 14, 2017 in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. Inurnment will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at 2:30 PM on Wednesday February 15. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home
