CUYAHOGA FALLS – Franklin D. Autz passed away August 19, 2018.
He was born in Cleveland, Ohio to Anton and Freda Autz in 1938. He is survived by loving and devoted wife of 58 years, Edna; step-brother, Paul Spiegel; daughter, Lynn Tomlinson (Gordon) and son, David (Christi); and grandchildren Kelsey, Eric, Nathan, Rachel and Trenton. He also leaves behind nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Frank was a patriotic and proud Marine. He attended Akron University and was employed at Firestone for over 30 years. He later worked for VMI Americas and retired from there in 2003. He enjoyed fishing in Quebec, golfing at Firestone South Course, playing softball, and hiking. He was an accomplished pianist and violinist and enjoyed music. He was a member of Prime Timers and Jednota Club, and a lifetime member of the American Legion.

Memorial services will held Monday at 11a.m. August 27, 2018 at the Pilgrim United Church of Christ, 130 Broad Blvd., Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44221. Friends may call on Sunday, August 26, at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44221 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and one hour before the services at the church. Inurnment & Military Honors will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Wags for Warriors.
