CUYAHOGA FALLS – Robert M. Rice, 63, went to meet Jesus July 11, 2018.
He was born April 18, 1955 and was a life-long Cuyahoga Falls resident, graduating from Falls High School class of 1973. Bob worked as a press lead at Bemis Packaging, retiring after 38 years of service.
Bob was a dedicated father, brother, uncle and friend. He was the most giving and kindest man anyone could know. If you were blessed to be touched by him, you instantly knew what a beautiful person he was, always willing to lend a helping hand. His favorite gesture was to give the peace sign and a bright smile! Although he could no longer ride his Harley-Davidson, he continued to sport many Harley-Davidson shirts from his and others’ travels. He loved animals and his grandbabies were his furry loves, Nikko, Sora and Simba.
Bob was an adoring father and his children were his greatest love. The bond among the three of them was evident and unbreakable. He taught them kindness, calmness, and to take everything in stride. He was so proud of Kaylan and Dane and his face would light up at the sight or mention of them.
Preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert Sr. and Katherine Rice, he is survived by his children, Kaylan and Dane Rice; siblings, Tom (Cindi) Rice, Gilbert Rice Jr., Susan (Thomas) Cooksey and Evelyn (Mark) Abbott and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Friends may call from 5-8 PM on Monday July 16 at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. In remembrance of Bob, please share an act of kindness, give the peace sign and a huge smile. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home and Crematory, 330-928-2147.
