CUYAHOGA FALLS George J. Kohut, 90, passed away September 20, 2013.
Mr. Kohut was born in Medina, Ohio and had worked as an engineer for Goodyear Aerospace retiring after 44 years of service. Mr. Kohut was president of the Foreman's Club, Goodyear 25 Year Club and was a Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus. He volunteered at the Veteran's Hospital, Summit DD board and at the Hunger Center at First Grace Church. He was a member of Our lady of Victory Church in Tallmadge.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Elizabeth (Yencha) Kohut and daughter-in-law Therese Kohut. He is survived by his wife Dorothy, sons David A. Kohut of Medford, NJ and Richard A. (Debra) Kohut of Louisville, OH, and grandchildren, Brian Kohut, Colleen (David) Mosinski, Laura (Michael) Arbogast and Joshua Kohut.
A Private Memorial Service will be conducted on Wednesday, Sept. 25 in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St, Cuyahoga Falls, Father John Hengle officiating. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Assoc. 70 West Streetsboro St, Suite 201, Hudson, OH 44236.
