Amy McCormick

Amy Jean McCormick passed away on August 11, 2021, just 10 days after her 90th birthday.

She was preceded in death by her mother Delta Case and her father Herbert Case, three siblings Gordon, Betty, and Geneva, husband Kenny, best friend, Mel, and granddaughter Erin. She is survived by her brother Jerry, her children, Kenelm (Jane), Marcia, Becky, and Brian (Kathi), 8 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren.

She was born and raised in Braxton County, West Virginia. Amy won a prize at her 50th high school reunion for walking the furthest to catch the school bus, 3 miles. Her children are sure it was up hill both ways.

Amy was a professional in food service and retail and worked in many of Akron's finest restaurants and shops. She particularly enjoyed her time working on a cruise boat in Ft Myers.
Amy was an awesome sister, mother, mother in-law, grandmother, and aunt and was a friend to many. She will be sorely missed.

The family would like to thank the staffs of Hospice of the Western Reserve and Heather Knoll Nursing Home for their kind and attentive care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to these organizations.

There will be visitation from 4pm to 7pm on Friday August 13, 2021, at the Clifford Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. Funeral services will also be held at the Clifford Shoemaker Funeral Home on Saturday August 14, 2021, at 12pm with Pastor Jim Case officiating. Following the funeral service interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery.
