Anthony C. Ciccarello of Cuyahoga Falls, formally of Wappingers Falls, New York entered into rest, Tuesday, February 10, 2026. He was 81.
Born in Tampa, Florida on June 19, 1944, to Vincent Charles and Fillippa, he attended the High School of Commerce in Manhattan, New York before being drafted to the United States Army in 1965, where he was stationed in Germany and Italy during the Vietnam war.
On April 26, 1970, he married Marilyn Gaglione in Bronx, New York.
In addition to his wife, Tony is survived by his son Paul (Dana) and daughter, Dianne (Thomas). He was the proud grandpa to Joseph. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In 1985, he founded the Toy Soldier Gallery, a military collectibles company and ran the business from the spare bedroom closet at home until three years later he and Marilyn opened a storefront located outside the Thayer Gate, West Point, New York. In 1992, Tony created Soldiers of the World, a metal line of toy soldiers. In 1997, he started Armies in Plastic, which is still operated today by his son and is the largest line in the industry, worldwide. In the 41 years in business, Tony developed lifelong friendships, which he cherished.
In addition to his parents, Tony was predeceased by his sisters Loretta and Christine and his brothers Vincent and Donald.
A celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the charity of your choice.
