Bernard "Bernie" Anderson

Bernard “Bernie” Ira Anderson, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away on September 5, 2025, at the age of 70. Bernie, son of the late Bernard L. and Clara (Honn) Anderson, was born on May 23, 1955, in Ravenna, Ohio before relocating to Cuyahoga Falls where he became a lifelong resident.

A 1973 graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School he went into the family construction business. It was during this time that he became a master carpenter working alongside his dad and brother Robin, later becoming the owner operator of Anderson Construction Company. Bernie enjoyed a successful real estate career working under brokerage companies Gene Rourke Realty and Robert Strecker Realty. When the time was right Bernie traded his tool belt for a laptop and camera, using his construction and real estate knowledge to pursue a career as an independent contractor in residential and commercial insurance inspections.

Nothing was more important to Bernie than his family. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. His heart ached every day for 1,577 days until he was reunited with the love of his life Kathy in Heaven.

To carry on his legacy, he leaves behind brothers Larry (Ruth) Anderson, Robin Anderson, sister-in-laws Linda Anderson and Bonnie Schott; children, Diana (Dave) Hupp, Melissa Anderson, Christina Anderson (Nick Hause), and Tom (Jessica) Anderson; grandchildren, Joe Simms, Lukas (Tracie) Mihailovic, Clara Mae, Meredith Hupp, Faith Ryan, Kaleb Wilson, Delaney Molignoni, Timothy Wilson, Giada Kay, Juno Anderson, Journey Anderson, and many extended family members.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to his care team at Harmony Hospice Care; Kim, Danielle, Seth, Keith, Anthony, Sarah, and Lyndsay.

Guests are welcome for visitation on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025, 11:00am at FallsCreek Community Church, Dr. Michael Thomas officiating. He will be laid to rest privately at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park.
