CUYAHOGA FALLS - Betty Ann (Wass) Burwell entered her eternal home on July 1, 2018. Born in Washburn, W. VA on July 17, 1930, she resided all of her life in Ohio. Betty was a graduate of Harrisville High School and the Cuyahoga Falls School of Practical Nursing. She was retired from Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital where she was employed as an LPN. Betty had a passion for sewing and after her retirement made baby blankets for Akron Children's Hospital. She was known for her canned green beans and baked goods. She had been a member of Cuyahoga Falls First Church for over 60 years.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Raymond Burwell, her parents, Ralph and Lenna Wass, her in-laws Burl and Dollie Burwell and her brothers, Harold, Ralph and Edward. She is survived by her children, Stephen (Sharon), Brian (Karen) and Jill (Robert); Grandchildren: Michael (Megan), Matthew, Bethany, Paul (Kassandra) and Lydia (Jeremiah); Great Granddaughters: Makenna, Elliana, Sarah and Natalie. Brothers, J. Franklin, Elwin (Barbara) and sister, Margaret (Ronald) Brother-in-laws: Leon (Barbara) and Robert, Sister-in-laws: Violet and Virginia (Steven) as well as a host of many nieces and nephews and friends.

A private internment service will take place for the family at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. A memorial service will be held Saturday July 7, 2018 at 11 AM at the Tallmadge United Methodist Church, 207 N Munroe Road, Tallmadge, OH, 44278. Reverend William Nicewarner officiating. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home and Crematory, 330-928-2147.
