Betty Fay Farling

Betty passed away peacefully at the young age of 93. Betty is preceded in death by her son Glenn H. Farling. She is survived by her children, daughter DeeDee (Bob) James; son, Tim (Lisa) Farling; son, Sam Farling; grandchildren, Gene Lepke Jr. (Courtney), Tim Fracola, Bob Jr. and Vanessa; 6 great grandchildren; and sister, Marsha (Brock).

Betty was born in Monette, Arkansas. She lived in Ft. Wayne Indiana in her younger years, moved to Peninsula, OH, and lived most of her life in Hudson. She retired and moved to Streetsboro in her later years. Betty drove bus for Hudson Schools for 39 years, also Laural Lake Retirement center. She also was a waitress at the Reserve Inn.

Betty loved gardening; she would spend countless hours in her flowerbeds. Sarasota, Florida was her second home. She would spend winters there, fixing and painting everything in sight. She was one of the hardest working women you would have ever met. She instilled her work ethics onto her children as well. We all are so blessed to have had her in our lives for this long. She will surely be missed by all who knew her.

I (DeeDee) would like to thank all my family members for the care and help, it takes a team. The family would like to give special thanks to Western Reserve Hospice of Medina. Betty will go to rest at Northlawn Memorial Gardens cemetery. Private celebration of life will take place.
