Longtime resident of Bath Township, Charles E. Davies, known by many as "Studebaker Ed" passed away peacefully on October 22, 2025, at the age of 86.
After graduating from high school, Ed proudly served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard. He went on to enjoy a long career with Reliance Electric in Cleveland before later working with Walden Builders in Aurora, OH.
Ed had a lifelong love of cars-especially Studebakers. He took great joy in collecting and restoring them, along with preserving memorabilia that celebrated the brand’s history. As one of the founders of the local chapter of the Studebaker Drivers Club, and a member of both the Packard Club and the Gravely Tractor Club, he made many lasting friendships in the classic car community.
Known for his wit and deep enthusiasm for all things automotive, Ed will be dearly missed by his friends, family, and fellow car enthusiasts.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Guests are invited to gather for visitation on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, from 3-6 p.m. at Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221.
