Cheryl Fischer

Silver Lake - Our beautiful, brilliant, beloved Cheryl has left us for the last time. Her thirst for knowledge and adventure had made her a prodigious reader and indefatigable traveler, thus leaving us many times before. Africa was her favorite destination.
Though diminutive in size she was fearless. No task or personage was too large to confront. She could reduce a bully to jelly with a few choice words.
Schooled at St. Joseph's, Holy Family and St. Vincent's, she then attended Universities of Miami and Akron. She graduated from the School of Law at the University of Akron. She excelled at all.
Kind and generous, she will be sorely missed by the many people she helped and advised through her practice and charities.
She served on the Board of Directors for Legacy III and W.O.M.E.N. Also for Weed and Seed of Akron for which she was Secretary of the Board, served on the Steering Committee and as Vice-Chairman of Beautification.
For the National Treasurer's Project for Ghana, she was a trustee, officer and Legal Oversight.
As a Volunteer for the Legal Aid Society much of her time was spent helping mothers and children.
Her sudden death has shattered us, her parents Eleanor and Roger Lindway, her sister Cynthia Lindway and sister-in-law Meredith Collard. Her sister Bonnie preceded her in death in 1966.

Beloved Cheryl Ann Fischer, Esq. will be celebrated, remembered and revered on the shores of Silver Lake.

Cheryl grew up swimming and playing with Silver Lake privileges. Come celebrate the life of this extraordinary woman and sister to humanity. This homage to Cheryl in this "church without walls" will be held rain or shine from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon this Sunday, June 19th, at Silver Lake, pods 2, 3 and 4. Bring your best Cheryl memory and one flower if you choose to Silver Lake, pods 2, 3 and 4 at 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon this Sunday, June 19th.

"But when you pray, go anywhere and pray to your Father, who is unseen. And your Father who sees what you do will reward you." Matthew 6:5-

A requiem mass will take place at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, June 19th at the church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, 1905 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls.
