It is with broken hearts and deep love that we announce the passing of Christina Marie Chapin, 40, of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio on September 24, 2025. Born on August 31, 1985, in Akron, Christina lived her life with a vibrant spirit, a boundless heart, and an unwavering devotion to her family and friends.

Christina was the beloved wife of Chris Chapin, and the devoted mother of Austin Chapin, Ava Chapin, and Angelina Chapin. She found one of her greatest joys in being “Mimi” to her treasured grandson, Axyl Watson-Chapin, who quickly became the light of her life. Christina’s love for her family was fierce, faithful, and unshakable.

She was the cherished daughter of William and Eileen Douglas, and the beloved sister of Brian Douglas, Sarah Lynch (Steve), and Mary Cradlebaugh (Keith). Her role as an aunt brought her great pride and joy, and she will be lovingly remembered by Logan Lynch, Daphne Lynch, Corbin Lynch, Myra Cradlebaugh, Karlee Cradlebaugh, Kolt Cradlebaugh, Elias Bartnicki, and Joelle Bartnicki, along with countless cousins, aunts, uncles, and second cousins who all knew the depth of her love and warmth.

Christina was also the dear daughter-in-law of Angela Stewart, Mark Chapin, and the late Greg Stewart; and sister-in-law to Melissa Bartnicki (Josh). She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her extended family and many dear friends — including Hallie Wilbanks, Trent Carson, Queron Wimley II, Miles Defago-Fertig, Angelo Sandoval, and Elizabeth Fleck-Kendrick — who were family not by blood, but by bond and heart.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents June and William Douglas, Mary and Paul Christ, her grandfather-in-law Raymond Chapin, and her uncle David Christ, whose memories live on through the stories and lives they touched. She also leaves behind her beloved pets Chloe, Mia, Jewel, and Meko, who were as much a part of the family as anyone else.

A proud graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School, Class of 2004, Christina was known for her laughter, compassion, and infectious energy. She worked primarily at the Dairy Queen on Portage Trail in Cuyahoga Falls, where she made lifelong friendships and touched the lives of many in her community.

Christina lived for the little things that made life beautiful — crafting, baking, cooking, shopping, sports, and especially family game nights. She loved volleyball and any kind of adventure. She lived each day with enthusiasm and made sure her family always felt safe, seen, and celebrated.

Her proudest accomplishments weren’t measured in titles or accolades, but in love. She took immense pride in seeing her two oldest children graduate high school, in watching her grandson grow, and in the strength her children showed in overcoming their health challenges. She believed in them fiercely, and her love was their greatest support.

To Christina, life was not a race to the finish — it was a celebration of every step. She won the battle with life by living it ferociously. She taught us all how to live, to love deeply, and to fight for joy even in hard seasons.

Christina’s life was a gift. Her husband held her close through life, but it was she who taught him courage, strength, and unwavering love. Her legacy is not just in those she leaves behind, but in the way she made people feel — seen, loved, and full of life. She gave all of herself, and in return, she will be remembered forever.
