Dale K. Evans, 91, passed away on July 16, 2025. He was born in Akron to the late David and Olive Evans and resided in Cuyahoga Falls. Dale served his country in the U.S. Navy, he went on to work for General Tire in 1957, retiring in 1997. Throughout his career he developed resins for fiberglass and automotive industries. He was the recipient of 2 patents for innovations that he developed. He was a 50-year member of Northampton United Methodist Church. He and his wife were proudly involved in multiple “Walk to Emmaus” programs where the served as participant and mentors. They also worked with at risk students for years through Royal Family Kids Camp program. In addition, Dale was involved in the Kairos Prison Ministry program. Dale loved the outdoors and enjoyed it through the years with family camping trips, Canadian fishing trips, hunting and trips to the Smoky Mountains, the beach, Western PA, Switzerland and many other adventures. He also enjoyed his annual family golf trips.
Preceded in death by his parents; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce (Phillip) Glasgow; son-in-law, Henry; brother-in-law, Bud Cox; he is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Noreen; children, Dale (Barb) Evans II and Kim Showalter; grandchildren, Benjamin (Serena), Kelsey (Ricky), Scott and Jessica; 6 great grandchildren, Aiden, Crosby, Marley, Pepper, Jolene and Swayzie; brother, David (Judy) Evans Jr; sister-in-law, Sue Cox and many nieces and nephews.
As the eldest of his siblings and many cousins. He served as a mentor and tormentor. He was a trusted friend, confidant, advisor and guardian. Dale embraced his role as husband, father, grandfather and uncle and served as an example for everyone of what it meant to care for, love, and nurture family, friends and the community. Throughout his life he had no greater joy than being surrounded by his family.
Memorial calling will be held from 10:30 to noon on Monday July 21, 2025 at the Northampton First United Methodist Church 852 W. Bath Rd. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223, where a Celebration of Life will immediately follow at noon. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Royal Family Kids Camp care of the Northampton United Methodist Church.
