Daniel E. Hughes, age 75, of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of quiet kindness, gentle humor, and deep love for his family.
Born on July 27, 1950, in Akron, Ohio, Daniel was the beloved son of the late Vivian and Donald Hughes. He was a proud graduate of Wadsworth High School and spent much of his working life in dedicated service to the State of Ohio, where he worked for 25 years with Ohio Liquor Control. Following his retirement, Daniel continued to stay active through various driving positions, a role well-suited to his love of the open road.
Daniel found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He was an avid collector of teddy bears, a hobby that reflected his soft heart and sentimental nature. He greatly enjoyed scenic drives and cherished trips to the beach, where he found peace in the beauty of nature. One of his greatest joys was spending time with family, especially watching and taking his nephew Brian to bowling tournaments-moments that created lasting memories for them both.
Daniel is survived by his loving wife, Candice Hughes; his brother, Donald (Sylvia) Hughes; his sister, Debbie Crislip; his nephew, Brian (Alicia) Walker; and many other nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vivian and Donald Hughes.
In honor of his wishes, cremation has taken place, and private services will be held.
Daniel will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his love of family, and the quiet ways he showed his care for others. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
