In Loving Memory of D. Marcy McIntyre

D. Marcy McIntyre, affectionately known as Marcy, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 2, 2025. Born on October 9, 1951, Marcy lived a life defined by generosity, resilience, and joy.

She attended Bowling Green State University, finishing her undergraduate degree at Ursuline College. Marcy began her career with Ohio Bell in Akron and Cleveland. In 1984, she transferred to AT&T, where she worked until her retirement in 2002. During her time at AT&T, she earned a master’s degree in arts education from the University of Phoenix, reflecting her lifelong passion for learning. She enjoyed a second career as an educator at Bryant & Stratton College, where she taught until she retired in 2011.

Marcy will be deeply missed by her son, Jason McIntyre; her mother, Lavinia McIntyre; and her sister, Rebecca "Becky" (Ron) Williams. She also leaves behind a circle of devoted friends, all touched by her warmth and kindness.

She was preceded in death by her father, W. E. McIntyre.

Marcy’s radiant smile, infectious laughter, and innate goodness left an indelible mark on everyone she met. She had a deep love for animals, especially her dogs, and gave unwavering devotion to the many rescue pets she lovingly cared for..

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance at Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral home on Thursday, August 7th. Visitation will take place from 5:00 to 6:45 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 6:45 p.m. A celebration of life will be held immediately afterward at a separate location.
