Dorothy Lamer

Dorothy M. Lamer, longtime resident of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away on June 14, 2021 at the age of 88. Dorothy was born on April 21, 1933 in Armstrong County, PA, daughter of the late Carl and Margaret (McCarty) King. She was a devoted wife and mother, and dearly adored her grandchildren, and spending time with family.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jay Lamer, and children, Ronald Lamer and Janet Nash.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Shirley Hymes of Cuyahoga Falls; sons, Paul (Joan) Lamer of Cuyahoga Falls and John (Janice) Lamer of Bath; grandchildren, Paul, Robert, Michael, Adam and Hailea; 16 great-grandchildren; brother, Donald King, and sister, Sandra Deabenderfer.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 17, 2021 from 11am-1pm at Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, where the funeral service will begin at 1pm, immediately following visitation. Interment to follow at Northlawn Memorial Gardens.
