Dorothy Jeanne Wilson

After a long journey of ten years battling Alzheimer's, Dorothy Jeanne Wilson (formerly Jeanne Kniesner), finally won at 97 years of age on May 26, 2023, thrusting her ever so peacefully into the loving arms of her Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ.  Her life was rich and replete with joy, laughter, and dancing, as many could attest who knew her.  God gifted her with a love and passion for children of any age, though she chose a teaching career focused on 3rd grade in the Cuyahoga Falls School System for over 32 years.  She made friends everywhere she went, with a large concentration of them being associated with her in golf and Bridge...and she was darn good at both!

As my mother for 74 years, and to my brother, Jeff for 21 years (now deceased), she has been my rock...my biggest cheerleader, my counselor, my audience and best friend, which is why I'm so proud and blessed to have been her daughter and to have called her "Mom."  She has been God's precious gift in my life.  I will miss her every day until we are united again before Jesus, our soon coming King.  Rest well until then, Mom...I love you.

She will be laid to rest privately by her beloved son Jeff at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park.  Arrangements entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 330-928-2147.
