Earl Robinson Jr.

Earl Robinson Jr. passed away peacefully in his home on December 18th, surrounded by family, at the age of 93. Earl was born on July 20th, 1932 in Sharpsburg, KY. Earl spent most of his life with the love of his life, Josephine. They were blessed with 68 wonderful years of marriage, most of which they spent at their home in Akron, OH. Earl is survived by his daughter, Rebecca McCann, and granddaughter, Sandra (Shaun) Grimes, his two great grandchildren, Austin and Sophia, along with many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Josephine, and son-in-law, Danny McCann. Earl was a proud member of the U.S. Marines, and he served in 1951 and 1952 in Korea. In 1954, while stationed at a shipyard in Virginia, Earl was honorably discharged. After his service, Earl was employed as an autobody repair technician at Quality Body for 57 years until his eventual retirement. As a proud member of Northampton United Methodist Church, Earl spent every Sunday morning greeting those who arrived with his unforgettable smile and warmth. If he wasn’t spending time at church or with family, Earl was probably out playing golf or eating lunch with his many friends, and if not that, he was probably watching NASCAR. Now it is time for Earl to go home to be with the lord and reunited with his wife.
