Edna Pergins

CUYAHOGA FALLS – Edna Louise “Lou” Pergins, 79, went home to be with the Lord on December 28, 2021. She was born in Akron to the late George and Edna Finegan and resided in Cuyahoga Falls for the past 42 years. Lou was the oldest of nine siblings whom she loved very much. She was an adoring wife, mother and grandmother. Christmas was a very special time for her, she loved hearing Christmas music anytime of the year. She was known to host some of the best and memorable Christmas Eve parties. Lou was Irish by birth but adapted her cooking skills to become a tremendous Greek cook keeping her husband well fed. Lou loved spending time with her granddaughters, taking them shopping and out to eat. She loved playing Euchre and Rummikub with her husband, daughters and sisters. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Tallmadge.

Preceded in death by her parents; brothers, George Jr., Stewart and Troy Finegan; she is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Stephen; daughters, Stephanie (Rick) Bowman and Stacey (Rick) Rasicci; grandchildren, Katie (Brandon) Shoaff, Abby Bowman and Miranda Rasicci; Siblings, Dennis Finegan, Bryan (Jill) Finegan, Phyllis (Charles) Roland, Diane (Richard) Lindgren and Charmaine Finegan; 21 nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Julie Pergins and brother-in-law, William Pergins.

Friends may call from 4-7 PM on Wednesday January 5, 2022 in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221, where a funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday January 6, 2022. Pastor Rick Bowman will be officiating. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Tallmadge 848 Southeast Ave. Tallmadge, OH 44278.
