Everett "Buzz" L. Marcum

“Buz” Everett L. Marcum, 88, passed away July 11, 2025. He was born in Saint Anne, IL on November 11, 1936, to the late Evert and Cora Marcum. He grew up in Illinois, Kentucky, and Ohio. Moving to Kent, Ohio in 1985, where he owned Budget Muffler until his retirement.

Buz was a proud United States Air Force veteran who served honorably during the Koran Conflict. Deeply committed to his faith and community, and long-time member of the American Legion Post #175 Stow.

Preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Richard, and Dwain, sisters, Wilma, Alene, and Gayle.

He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, “Patti” Patricia; brother, Gary, sisters, Linda, and Loretta, brother-in-law, Michael; sisters-in-law, Barbara and Debra. He will also be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.

A committal service will be held at 1:45 PM on Wednesday July 16, 2025, at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, where he will receive military honors.
