F. Kay Pohl

We are sadly saying goodbye to our beloved mother, grandmother and sister who dearly loved her family. F. Kay Pohl, 87, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2026.

Kay was born in Cuyahoga Falls and resided in the area for most of her life. Kay's love of travel has taken her to all 50 states, including a trip to France with her sister to see Bruce Springsteen. Enjoying music was a big part of Kay's life, especially listening to Classic Rock and attending concerts. More than anything, Kay loved spending time with her family. She was very much loved and will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

She is survived by her children, Judi and her husband, Bob Beach, of Ravenna, and Jimmy Pohl of Cuyahoga Falls; grandchildren, Jennifer, Ryan, Jamie, Jimbo, Julie, Ayden, and Zoey; great-grandchildren, Conner, Cooper, Crew, Vince, Makenzie, Jameson, Alli Mae, William, Laylah, and Maddison. She will also be dearly missed by her siblings, Carol Conaway, and Dan (Tanya) Phelps, and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Kay was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Pohl, to whom she was married for 33 years; her loving companion of 16 years, Wayne Bowen; cherished daughter, Jackie King; and brother, David Phelps.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 from 4-7 pm at Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. Guests are welcome to attend the funeral service at the funeral home on Thursday, May 7 at 11 am with Pastor William James Case officiating. She will be laid to rest at Oakwood Cemetery. Memorial donations, if desired, may be made in Kay's memory to a charity of choice.
