CUYAHOGA FALLS-Fred William Boesiger, 64, passed away on October 11, 2023. He was born on February 4, 1959 in Akron, Ohio to William and Mary Boesiger. Fred was a proud Eagle Scout, the highest rank attainable in the Scouts BSA program, and a 1977 graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School. He was a lifelong resident of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio until December 2020 when he moved to Medina, Ohio.
Fred held various quality control positions over the years but spent a large portion of his life working for Allen Aircraft in Ravenna, Ohio and as an IATSE Local 48 Akron/Canton Stagehand. He most recently worked for Owens Corning in Medina. Fred loved music and art, sharing many of his paintings with friends and family over the years.
Fred will always be remembered for his kind heart and sense of humor. His memory will live on in the hearts of all those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 15 years, Norma (Bell) Boesiger; parents, William and Mary Boesiger; brothers, Richard and Gregory Canter; sister-in-law, Diane Canter; grandparents, Christopher and Corelia Sweeney and Anna and Fred Boesiger; uncles, Fred Boesiger and Christopher Sweeney; and aunt, Laura Bell Hageman.
Fred is survived by his children, Jessica (Chris) Seal and Brandon (Carrie) Boesiger; grandchildren, Brooke and Collin Seal and Violet Boesiger; stepchildren, Krystal (Nick) Hink and Josh (Chelsea) Russ; step-grandchildren, Summer and Brice Bailing; brother, Gary Canter; uncle, Jack Boesiger; and many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
There will not be any services at this time. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) or the Humane Society in Fred’s memory.
