Gail Klingelhoffer

Gail Klingelhoffer, 83, of Akron, passed away on July 16, 2026 following a short illness. Born on March 20, 1943, in Lawrenceberg, Indiana, Gail devoted her life to her family. Gail had a gentle heart, a welcoming smile, and a remarkable ability to make everyone feel seen, valued, and loved. Spending time with those she cherished was her greatest joy. She celebrated life’s milestones, stood beside loved ones during difficult times, and created countless memories that will be treasured forever. Gail is proceeded in death by her father Lloyd Sargent, stepfather Graham Gilliand, mother Lucy Gilliand, husband Jim Klingelhoffer Sr., sister Ann Craven, son Jim Klingelhoffer Jr., and great-grandson Javier Klingelhoffer. Gail is survived by her daughters Kathy (Ron) Lazar, Polly (John) Costello, grandchildren Ashlee Frymier, Ryan (Katie) Frymier, Jamie Costello, Cody (Rachel) Costello, Tyler (Megan) Klingelhoffer, great-grandchildren Asher Costello, Kylan Pascley, Ivy Klingelhoffer, and many nieces and nephews. Gail has left footprints on our hearts that time can never erase. Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we find comfort in the memories she has left behind. A private family service will be held to celebrate her life.
