George B. Kirk, Jr.

June 4, 1932 — January 21, 2023

CUYAHOGA FALLS- George B. Kirk Jr., 90, passed away on January 21, 2023.  He was born to the late George B. Sr. and Helen M. Kirk on June 4, 1932. George was a lifelong resident of Cuyahoga Falls and Northampton TWP. In January of 1950 George graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School and went on to Kent State University. At Kent State, George was in the R.O.T.C. program and graduated in 1954 with a double major in marketing and finance. Also, when George was at Kent State, he met the love of his life Helen. He went into active duty at Ft. Benning Georgia, where he completed Army Ranger School. After completing Ranger training, he and Helen were married in December of 1955 prior to George going to Korea. He was honorably discharged in 1957 and returned to Cuyahoga Falls where he began his career in insurance at the Wayne Agency Co. As well as working at the Wayne Agency, George started several businesses including car leasing, property management, and retail equipment sales. Later in life George enjoyed maintaining his 8 acres in Cuyahoga Falls. George was a very dedicated and a longtime member of the Cuyahoga Falls Lions Club. He was involved in various organizations including the Elks, Masons and Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity. George was preceded in death by his wife Helen.

He will be missed by his children, Nancy Yeager (Jeff Pifer), Richard (Donelle) Kirk, Alan (Tracey) Kirk; grandchildren, Aaron Yeager, Sarah Yeager, Boyd Kirk, Marissa Kirk, Natalie Kirk; brother, Phillip Kirk and many other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers and other remembrances, donations may be made to First United Methodist Church of Cuyahoga Falls or the Cuyahoga Falls Lions Club.

Per George’s wishes cremation has taken place and there will be a graveside service at a later date.
