Gordon R. Edgecomb, 69, passed away on May 20, 2021.

He was an extraordinary man who lived an extraordinary life.  He lived every one of his days with a sense of adventure, a thirst for knowledge, and absolute and unwavering dedication to the people he loved.

Gordon had a brilliant mind and a massive heart.  He was a natural leader, a rebel with (and sometimes without) a cause, a lover of fun, a profound thinker, and a generous giver.  He accepted no limitations, and he answered to no one but God.

He might be disappointed if his obituary didn’t make note of the fact that he was also ridiculously handsome.

Family was everything to Gordon, and there was nothing more important to him than his girls.  He was called many things over his years (some we don’t mention in mixed company), but “Dad” and “Grandpa” were his most treasured titles.  He instilled in his children the virtues of unconditional love, generosity, loyalty, honor, and responsibility.  And he led by example.

Gordon is preceded in death by his beloved wife Tina, parents Clarence and Gertrude, sister Karen, brothers Chip and Paul, and nephew Scott.  He is survived by his girls, daughters Jennifer Odom (Chris) and Heather Boger (Victor Lin), granddaughters Alaura Aragones and Elli Odom.  His sisters Beverly (Art), Janice (Bart), Lynn Patti, and brother John.  Nieces Lauren, Kathi, and Robin.  Nephews Mark, Beau, and Steven.  And many more relatives and close friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 28th from 4-6PM with a memorial service immediately following at 6PM at Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home at 1930 Front Street, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221.  All friends and family are welcome.
