Harry Steele

Harry E. Steele passed away March 14, 2021 at the age of 90. Born in Akron, Ohio November 6, 1930 to his late parents, Harry Sr. and Dorothy Steele. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his first wife, Eileen and sister, Sylvia Steele Jones.

He served in the United States Navy four years during the Korean War. He moved to Calif. And retired from Pacific Gas and Electric in San Francisco after forty years' service, then moved to Roseville, Calif. for 25 years, helping to start a new church. He loved singing in the choir and serving in many ways. He was a member of the Veterans Club and several others.
Later, he returned to Portage Lakes in 2008 where he was raised, to marry his long-time friend and classmate since 1st grade, Dorothy Suit. They both graduated from Coventry High School Class of '49, where he played several sports. He loved traveling and playing golf with his buddies.

He is also survived by his son, Jeffrey Steele (Juliene); grandchildren, Madisen, Andrew, and Trey Steele all in Calif; brother, Tom Steele (Nancy) in Cortland, NY. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Dorothy and many friends and special friends at Brier Creek.

I want to thank the staff nurses and Harbor Light Hospice for their kindness and care at Maplewood Memory and Cancer in Cuyahoga Falls and Pastor Gene Kern for his prayers, Harry's pastor in Roseville, Calif.
