Helen Marie James

Helen Marie James, 98, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away peacefully. She was born May 9, 1927, in Munhall, Pennsylvania, and was known by her family as a proud Pittsburgh Steelers fan — often considered the #1 fan in their eyes.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Chuck James, who passed away in 2001.

She is survived by her son, Chuck (Jan) James; her daughter, Jody (David) Sowers; and many loving family members.

Friends may call from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221, where a funeral ceremony will be held at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at Northlawn Memorial Gardens in Cuyahoga Falls.
