James A. Hahn

James Albert Hahn- 78, passed away unexpectedly on September 29, 2023 at his home in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.  Jim was born in Akron and had resided in Cuyahoga Falls most of his life. He attended Cuyahoga Falls High School. He served as a Sergeant for the Northampton Township Police Department for 10 years. He was also a longtime fan of both the Cleveland Browns and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Jim is survived by the love of his life, Barbara Ring, his daughters Laura (Doug) Strong, Anjanette (Jon) Suter, Andrea (Jonathan) Kaplan and his son Jimmy Hahn. Jim had nine grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Nancy and his brother-in-law Richard Tanner. In addition to his family, Jim had the joy of a bonus family (Barbara’s) who he loved dearly. Bonus daughters Kathryn (Mike) Murrey, Michele (Jake) Blevins and Barbie Oyler as well as six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Fay Hahn.

He was very loved and will be missed by his family. We will go on remembering what he always said, “No More Cloudy Days” his favorite song from the Eagles.

The family entrusted Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front Street in Cuyahoga Falls with his care.
