James Theodore Hughes, age 60, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and business owner whose life was marked by hard work, sincerity, and deep devotion to those he loved.
James was the proud owner of Corky’s Cleaning, a business he built and operated with great pride. His work reflected his character—he believed in showing up, doing things the right way, and speaking honestly and directly. He took pride not only in his work, but in the relationships he built along the way.
Above all, James was a loving and devoted family man. Strong and outspoken, he was deeply committed to those closest to him. One of his greatest joys was watching his grandchildren play sports. He could often be found cheering enthusiastically at his grandsons Bryce and Deleon’s baseball games and proudly supporting his granddaughter Aria at her softball games.
James is survived by his beloved wife, Kriste Hughes; his daughter, Holly, and son-in-law, Terell; his grandchildren, Bryce, Deleon, and Aria; his mother, Florance Hughes; his sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn and Keith Klemmer; his brother, Jeff Hughes; and his nieces.
The family extends sincere gratitude to Gardens of Western Reserve Home Care and Hospice for their compassionate care and support.
James will be remembered for his strength, honesty, and the pride he took in his family and his work. There will be no formal services at this time. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
