James Roose

CUYAHOGA FALLS - On February 15th, 2021 our beloved father James Paul Roose went home to join his beloved wife of 51 years, Helen Virginia (Simm) Roose and be with their savior Jesus Christ. James was a beloved father of eight children, many grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

When our father was growing up he was an avid hunter, trapper, and a fisherman. He continued his sportsmanship with his friends at the Zeppelin Rifle range in Akron Ohio. As many knew James also enjoyed collecting antiques and restoring them along with his love of collecting antique guns and repairing them.

With giving back to his love of community our father was involved with his Methodist Church, and the Northampton Historical Society, as well when living in Medina James was the President of the Medina County Fair Board as well as The Medina Historical Society. When not busy he also found time from 1988-1989 to volunteer to be a chaperone for The Medina Senior High Schools Marching Band.

Our family would also like to thank the first responders who cared for our father in our time of need and his. We will be having a private burial and asking instead of flowers please make a donation to the Heart and Cancer Research association.
