Cuyahoga Falls- Jerry A. Kerr, 90, passed away on May 12th from dementia related complications.
A nearly life-long resident of Cuyahoga Falls, Jerry graduated from Falls High in January 1951. He was a regular attendee of the JBI's monthly breakfasts.
Jerry served in the Navy during the Korean War. He then enlisted for less hazardous duty with the US Postal Service, retiring after 30+ years.
Jerry and his wife enjoyed traveling, camping, and boating with friends. Their travels took them to 49 states.
A frequent golfer, Jerry also loved clean, shiny cars and playing cards. He valued what he would call an honest day's work.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Erna, son, Robert, daughter, Deborah Wensman (Todd), and grandchildren, Mitchell and Rachel.
Funeral services will be held on May 17th at 11AM at Redeemer Lutheran Church (2141 5th Street) with calling hours preceding at 10AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in his memory be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church or St. Jude Children's Hospital. Services have been entrusted to the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home.
