CUYAHOGA FALLS -Joseph Leo Pinter, 88, past away March 9, 2005. He was born April 14, 1916 in Northampton, OH to Anna Fischer and Ignatius Pinter from Vukavar, Yugoslavia and Germany. He was a World War II Veteran serving as an airplane mechanic in the Pacific and was retired from Goodyear Flight Operations as chief mechanic in 1979 with 34 years of service.
Joe loved ice skating, rollerblading and restoring Model A's. He raced midget cars starting in the 40's for many decades.
He is preceded in death by sisters, Sophie Kaser and Josephine Fisher and brothers, Frank and John and is survived by his beloved wife, June of 50 years; many nephews and nieces whom he greatly loved; a brother, Larry (Sally) of Cleveland; sister-in-law, Betty Rambo of Mesa, AZ and brother-in-law, Dr. Kenny DelGreco of Akron.
Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 pm TONIGHT in The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls where a Funeral Service will be conducted at 10:00 am Friday, Rev. Michael K. Roberts officiating. Interment Northlawn Memorial Gardens. The Family suggests memorials be made to Hospice VNS 3358 Ridgewood Rd. Akron, OH 44333.
