Julie Ann Hayn

Listen to Obituary

Our beloved wife, mom, sister, daughter and friend, Julie Ann Hayn, flew to Jesus on Sunday morning, June 28th. How fitting for her last act of worship to be running to Him on the Lord’s Day. After a 10-year cancer journey—on which she often chose the road less traveled by—Julie is finally dancing with Jesus.

She dearly loved Jesus, and her deepest desire was that her family and friends would also know His saving power so she can see them again.

Julie was a talented hairdresser who also enjoyed decorating her home. She was creative but also a deep thinker. Raising triplets while also having a four-year-old made her resilient and passionate. She loved her time serving at the Chapel in Green as a middle school leader, however, Julie didn’t need a title or a position to serve. Anyone who cared for her or visited her home knows she was always ministering to the person right in front of her.

Julie will be deeply missed, not just for her presence, but also for her love, compassion, resilience, empathy, strength, faithfulness, and devotion to Jesus. The best gift she gave us was the certainty that she is with Him in Heaven.

Julie is survived by her husband, Mike; her children, Aaron (Ashley), Andrew, Beau, and Caroline; and her parents, John and Barb Karaiskos. She is also survived by her siblings, Beth, Laurie (James), and David; her husband‘s siblings, Krissy (Mark), Jeff (Tracy), Dejay (Sherri), Lori (Craig); and many cherished nieces, nephews and cousins.

Our family extends our special thanks and deepest gratitude to her beloved friend and caretaker, Sybil Lambert. We are truly grateful for Sybil's incredible love, support, and sacrifice for Julie. She is deeply loved and will forever be a part of our family. The family would like to thank all of our friends, church family and community for the support, meals, love and prayer given to Julie over the last 10 years.

The calling hours will take place on Thursday, July 2nd from 3:00pm-6:00pm with a service to follow immediately after. Located at the Chapel in Green (1800 Raber Rd, Uniontown, OH 44685). The family is choosing to honor her by wearing her favorite color, emerald green, at the service. If you would like to join us in doing so, please feel free.
