Kenneth Estep

CUYAHOGA FALLS- Kenneth H. Estep, 82, passed away August 1, 2006. Kenneth was born in Clendenin, W. Va. August 15, 1923 and moved to Ohio in 1939. He farmed in Licking County and graduated from Crotan High School in June 1940. The family moved to Cuyahoga Falls in 1942. He entered the service in February 1943-graduating from bombardier school in S.C. and serving in the Air Force in Big Springs, TX until his discharge in Feb. 1946. He started his career at Superior Mold working with Karl Reuther and followed him when he founded Reuther Mold & Mfg. It was a long and mutual relationship. He retired in May 1989 so he could pursue his joy of boating. He was a charter member of Pt. Yacht Club, Cedar Point, OH. He was a member of Cuyahoga Falls Lodge 735 F&AM and the Tadmor Shrine. He also enjoyed the lunch bunch of Cuyahoga Falls High School Class of 1940 and looked forward to jazz night at the Rusty Nail with good friends.
Preceded in death by mother and father Maysel & Harry Estep and brother Arnold, he is survived by his wife of 42 years Ruth; step-daughter Barbara Heller Brownlee (John) of Sparta, NJ; grandson Christopher (Linda) Hewitt, of NJ; sister Phyllis Costill (Bruce) of Anderson, SC.; brother, S. Robert (Joan) of Upland, IN; half-brother John Bird (Nancy) of Rose, OK; sisters-in-law Sue of Willowick, OH and Evelyn Haberkost of Stow, OH; brother-in-law Dean Haberkost (Joyce) of Pisgah Forest, NC; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family will have a celebration of Kenneth's life around his birthday. Cremation has taken place. The family requests donations may be made to Kidney Dialysis c/o Akron City Hospital, 525 E. Market St., Akron, OH 44309
