Our beautiful Kyra “Teemie” Hayn, 83, went to Heaven on May 19, 2026.
Born February 18, 1943, Kyra lived her wonderful life in its entirety in Cuyahoga Falls. Each day she brought love and joy, as her smile was contagious to all who knew her. Never needing a reason to celebrate, Kyra viewed each day as a blessing. Her favorite memories were shared while golfing, camping, and vacationing with her family and friends. She was a lifelong member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church. She deeply valued her relationship with God, and her church, as her quiet faith brought her optimism even in her toughest times. Kyra was a competitive bridge player, whether at neighborhood games, the CMRA pool, or the Cuyahoga Falls Women’s Club. Teemie had a loving and lively spirit with endless energy, even up to the week she passed.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Douglas Hayn. She is survived by her sister, Dale Durbin; her children, Mike (Julie), Krissy (Mark) and Jeffrey (Tracey); her grandchildren, Aaron (Ashley), Andrew, Beau, Caroline, Carson and Ella. Kyra’s love extended to her blended family: Lori (Craig), Dejay (Sherri), Karli (Matt), Jayden, Elizabeth, Andrew and her favorite grand-dog, Oscar. It is important to share that Teemie’s great-nephew, Michael, held a special place in her heart.
We are deeply grateful to the staff at Danbury Woods in Cuyahoga Falls for their love, care, and compassion during our mother’s final months. A sincere thank you to Gentiva Hospice for their exceptional comforting support. We wish to thank Pastor Jim Steingass for his kindness and spiritual care shown to Kyra and our family.
Kyra will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with a service immediately following at St. Luke’s Luthern Church, located at 2121 6th Street in Cuyahoga Falls.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church or to the Cuyahoga Falls Women’s Club.
